Since it's been quite a while since my last post I thought it best to share a collective update on some of our agendas, attendees, vendors & new partnerships.
Midsize Enterprise Summit East is quickly approaching May 3-7 in Miami and our team has been busy at work securing a full 320 CIO's which I'm happy to report at this date is almost 100% booked and ticketed! We are excited to announce recent sponsorships by CA and Information Builders with new vendors being added weekly, please keep an eye out for additions at http://everythingchannelevents.com/mese09_sponsors. We have been busy at work finalizing our agenda, along with the technical focused Gartner content we have added sessions by Author Geoff Moore and Harvard Business School Professor Andrew McAfee who will speak about Collaboration, Innovation and the Future of IT.
Our Project & Portfolio Management Summit June 14-17 is shockingly within sites as well, how fast the year has moved thus far! Our finalized agenda will be on our site www.ppmsummit.com by end of week and I'm happy to announce content from Gartner, gantthead.com, and a gem out of Oklahoma The Persimmon Group. We once again will be bringing in 180 pre-qualified PPM decision makers who will join vendors such as Microsoft, Compuware, daptiv, @task and many more for a must attend event - please visit our site for more information.
Some new additions to our portfolio is a one day seminar for Midmarket CIO's in Toronto and a Virtual Trade show on Print & Imaging - if you have not yet viewed a VTS I highly recommend joining one, the technology and interactions are better than The Sims!
What is new in your organization, we value you, the communities insight and would like to know how the economy has effected your business and decision making ability. Our guest blogger Bill Tobey, National Sales Manager, will be posting addressing these issues and more in our next post so check back soon.
Have a great rest of your week and a wonderful spring weekend!

Can Emerging Technologies Help the Economy?
So I've been quite slow in posting this past week and my apologies to anyone who follows this blog. I am as some would like to say an information hound, I read everything and anything I can get my hands on and latley everything I see surrounds the economy and it's effects on business, technology, fiance and most importantly us the people. We can talk about how we found ourselves in this situation until we are blue in the face but the real question is where do we go from here and how does technology help?
Technology has become our lifeline, it drives our economy and for the most has become a personal obession. What are some emerging technologies that can create new jobs, stimulate the economy and help you the CIO work more efficiently? We need your help in discovering and prospering these new tech companies as they are the future of the economy!

Midsize CIO's on Social Media
Social Media is a buzz term that I hear a lot of in the technology event space, but has it impacted you the CIO? Every day office users are constantly on applications such as twitter, facebook, myspace and linkedin; what does this do to your network security and overall user productivity? One of the exciting new agenda items for this years Midsize Enterprise Summit focuses on how the X/Y Generations web obsessions can effect your business for both good and bad.
Please leave comments and feedback on your experience with social media we would like to add actual case studies to the session.
Enjoy your day and check back tomorrow!

Midsize CIO's Not Fans of Google Applications
Our sister publication just posted this article(http://tinyurl.com/9bj57l) about midsize CIO's and their feelings on Google applications as a business tool. What are your thoughts, is Google only for small business and home usage?
